Today is the day following spa treatment number 3 and usually I would have still been in bed since returning from the hospital but this time has been a lot easier. I was upbeat last night, enjoyed an amazing gluten free gourmet marinara pizza, played some computer games, went to bed and read quite a few chapters of Game of Thrones book 2 and slept for about three solid hours. Not too bad considering the past. I was a little restless after midnight and of course that makes the darling dogs restless so I was up and down a bit and more cat napped than anything until 9am.
Today, I have been up and awake all day. I can’t say I have done much but being up and awake is enough for me. My local doctor gave me a free house call to give me my day after injection. He doesn’t like me having to go to the clinic for that injection every three weeks because there is always such a long wait and obviously understands my immune system is low and doesn’t want me around sick people. So he now comes to my home, free of charge, jabs me with my needle and is off on his way.
Here is a photo of my day after chemo bruise
Not the prettiest site but they are really struggling with veins and aren’t keen on surgically implanting a port.
But here’s a couple of better photos of two of my lovely supporters…
Now, I’m feeling it is almost time for bed. I am hoping I can wake up feeling great to go to a wee party that I really want to go to tomorrow. Even if I can get to go for an hour I will be happy.

Glad you are feeling better. My oncotype test came back with a low score, so I chose no chemo.
I will be having a mastectomy later this year, and breast reconstruction surgery, radiation, and pill therapy. The type of cancer is slow growing and hormone receptor negative, which is good.
Best to you!
Hey that is great news, well, for the situation I guess. Yay for the hormone receptor coming back negative. We hoped for the same results but they came back positive. No biggie, we’ll tackle what ever is thrown at us.
Thanks for sharing your news. I am unable to have my reconstruction until all of the radiation is finished so that isn’t even on my list yet but what is weird, is that it doesn’t feel weird in the way I thought it would to be missing a boobie.
Please keep me up to date with your progress. I can be a little slow on getting onto the blogs I want to read especially the week or so after chemo.
I had a Mascetomy with Breast Expander for reconstruction Aug 18th.
Today had the 2nd drain taken out. OUCH! Radiation probably in mid Oct.. Having fatigue and some pain
Hope you are getting well!
Love your dogs! What would we do without our pets? I still have my kitty and miss my piggies terribly. I am not ready to get more pets.
I have a bruise on my arm too but from the breast MRI I recently got (all clear, thank God!). I took all the chemo in one arm so now they have issues finding good veins.
Glad you are feeling better.
They are a couple of beauties these dogs of ours and so totally different from one another. I am glad you still have Kitty and I am still sad for your piggies and your loss.
I haven’t ever had such a bruise such as this but like you, they have to pick the best of one arm.
AWESOME newson your MRI!!!
