The Tree

Did you notice the new ‘profile’, ‘site pic’ Tree?

This is what I call the ‘MAGIC TREE’ and I took this photo quickly with my mobile phone.

This tree is where I super duper want to be married at. Married to Dr Hands aka Sam. We have spoke to the owner of the land where this tree lives in Kuitpo Forrest in the Adelaide Hills and she is more than happy to let us marry there.

The tree is dead I know. But how magnificent is it? Here are the trees surrounding it. This might give you some perspective on the difference on the view. There are certain times of the day when the entire forest looks dark and gloomy but there will be a gleam of sunshine, a huge ray of light, shining on MY magic tree…

See, the tree’s that surround my special magic tree are totally different. That is what makes it all so much more special.

Brady and I have been out there a few times. He loves it because there are a lot of sticks to chose from and provide for throwing. The tree is where I want to make my vows to Sam and become his wife. To take his name forever.

So, when you see that tree pop up on your email, facebook or blog feed, you’ll now know, that is what I call my magic tree.

My quick pic photo with my phone captured it perfectly.

PS: There has been no photo editing on this tree because it is absolutely perfect, just the way it is…..

  1. That’s a lovely tree and it does look magical. I love the idea of getting married in the middle of nature. My guy and I have been thinking of getting married in the Joshua Tree desert (California). Love trees. And the spot you picked looks perfect.

It reminds me a bit of the “Whomping Willow” from the Harry Potter books… but without the ferocity! A beautiful tree indeed! ❀

    1. Hi Jasmine. What I can do for you is give you the exact kms from Meadows but I can’t do it until tomorrow. If you want a rough guide right now, turn right from Meadows onto Brookman Road, (Toward Willunga) and you will drive past the camping grounds and the woodchoppers cottage and the tree will be on your left. It is amongst many pine trees. During summer, the sunshines ONLY on this and two other trees in the pine forest because it is obviously not a pine tree. The land is privately owned and I have their details as well if you need them. Tomorrow, my project will be to measure the kilometers from the turn off from Meadows so you can find that tree easily πŸ™‚ It is absolutely gorgeous huh?

This tree is beautiful, could you please email me the contact details for the lady and how to get there? I would love to visit this place.

That is one beautiful tree! Where can it be found in the forest? We are visiting the area from overseas and would love to see this while we are here. Any information on how to get there would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

Hi Amanda, this tree is beautiful! Would you mind sharing the location and the land owners details? Looking at getting in contact about potentially booking this site if possible. Thank you

    1. Hi Matt. The tree is beautiful isn’t it? The email address for Molly (daughter of trees owner) is and the tree is located at Burbrook Road Kuitpo. I can give you the exact Km’s from Meadows if you like. Let me know and I will go there this week one day after work and measure the distance for you. It is pretty hard to describe where one tree is in a forest without the exact co-ordinates πŸ™‚

Thanks for your help Amanda, don’t stress about the exact co-ordinates, mainly just after the owners details about possible booking. Thanks again πŸ™‚
